50TH ANNIVERSARY OF EARTH DAY --
ON "THE DAYS THE EARTH STOOD STILL"
This morning I was wondering how to write a celebratory postwhile this pandemic war is waging global human and financial suffering.
Most every Covid-19 email and media report has a common message"that we are all in this".
"That we are all in this" also has taken on another meaning as the world witnesses the amazing rapid recovery of cleaner air (visibility distances that have not been experienced in China and India for generations), and cleaner oceans and beaches (neon blues and greens on Miami Beach).
Sothe controversy between Climate Change science vs. naysayers is answered. Amazing what the Earth has performed in just weeks after humanity, for centuries, sucked out her rich mineral deposits and sucked out her sacred watersonly to return them in thousands of polluted formsthat only humans could have and would have done.
And soon these "Days The Earth Stood Still" we should celebrate that "we are all in this together" to make change. And maybe, just maybe when medieval wet markets are eliminated, when new forms of energy are mainstreamed, new forms of transportation are mainstreamed, new forms of growing and raising food are mainstreamedthen maybe 150 years from today our children's children's children won't need an Aquathin.
..until then, I love my Aquathin.
